Travel Favourites

Life can be a funny thing can't it? One day you're eating bran flakes and wondering where the day will take you, the next you're sitting in Dubai airport waiting to zip over to Australia on the trip of a lifetime. So yes, life can be a funny thing. Life is a roller coaster you just gotta rid it. Too much? Too much.
Anyway, if you're a regular reader of my blog, you'll know that I'm off to Australia to travel blog, explore and generally indulge myself in the sights the world has to offer. It's a pretty huge thing for me and even as I sit here, back pack on a passport clasped firmly in my hand, I still feel like its a bit of a dream. To bring myself back to reality As I'm waiting for my next flight I thought I'd like to share some of my travel favourites with you. Travelling alone can be a bit daunting, but I know I you guys have my back. Thanks, dudes. Thanks.

My favourite man to travel with at the moment is undoubtedly George R.R. Martin. I'm edging towards a Game of Thrones obsession and he is certainly a wonderful long haul travel companion. If you haven't read the series, I seriously recommend that you do!

Next, and perhaps most importantly is my First Aid kit. As it's the St. John's real deal I know that I am in safe hands and I feel a bit like a doctor when I use it. Win, win.

Binoculars. Kind of nerdy but definitely essential. I'll be spotting crocs from a mile off with these.

The trusty head net. I'm so prone to bites I've dropped all the vanity and embraced it in all its netty glory. I've already modelled it for you, remember?

Honest and reliable Regatta wind and waterproof coat. Ready for whatever the outback throws at me in a vibrant colour scheme.

I treated myself to some swimwear from Boux Avenue. I'm really impressed with the quality how secure the fit is.

Some lovely, lovely treats from my auntie as a going away gift. It is such a joy to be able to keep my skin healthy as I travel. I would recommend if like me, you have sensitive skin, to invest in some good quality, hydrating products. I find travel can be tough on the old skin.

A little bracelet from my boyfriend, so I always carry a piece of home with me.
Soppy I know, but I couldn't help it!

My khaki, I'm a Celebrity, ready to go exploring hat.

I take myself very seriously in it. Like Crocodile Dundee.

And finally, of course, this exciting little fella.
Best whip him out again now, the next leg of my journey is about to commence. Dubai to Perth.
See you later alligator, in a while crocodile.
There will undoubtedly be more crocodile puns, be aware.

  1. I can't wait to go to Australia next year. I've got most of the things but hmm might need to look into that mosquito net! all the best, have an amazing time, and keep us posted!

    1. The mosquito net was handy in tropical areas, but I found I wasn't bothered in the drier parts. xx
